A WALK IN THE WIENERWALD
(THE VIENNA WOODS)
PART THREE: Last Hill and Back to Bus
![]()
Between the second and third hills came this view toward the city, the rise to the right is the rise toward the third hill:

This was as close as I got to the crest of the third hill, I was getting tired, and turned off toward the right for another look into the valley.

I was quite taken with the view into the valley along the backs of the hills that support the Vienna Woods, hills that stretch from here to the Alps:

Rolling hills as far as the eye can see:

If I looked left from here, a sliver of city was also still visible:

I backtracked to the trail, just to where it got real icy as it passed the third hill on its way to a fourth, and many more:

No more hills for me today. I now needed to get back to the hotel and get ready for my first day of meetings by sleeping, sleeping a lot if possible. The way down started pleasantly but quickly turned rather treacherous with snowy ice and mud:

I did finally get to the bus stop. This is my final look back up the hill from the bus stop and my final photos in this series:

Good night!
