The mill we are visiting is the Mabry mill, you can read about on this sign:

The setting today is gorgeous, beautifully maintained grounds right off the Blue Ridge Parkway:

And some other historical artifacts? No, items still in use in the region such as whiskey still:

I was impressed with the work that went into delivering water to power the wheel,
