NV 3. The Bois de Meudon
Part 2 of 2 parts

I think I went crazy taking pictures of trees in these woods, they were just fantastic! But without comment I will just show a few for starters:

I included this white-haired lady with her white dog because in a trip a few weeks later in Germany, walking in woods again, I again saw a white haired lady with a white dog. In both cases they were walking away from me and did not turn back, so I suppose this is just what it looks like and not an exciting visitation from a 'wood-nymph' and her 'familiar'. Shucks!

At one point there were a lot of people, entire families, with baskets and sticks. They were stirring up the leaves below the very tall chestnut trees to find rather freshly fallen chestnuts to take home and roast.
In one case kids had a cat on a leash with a 'knack' for finding chestnuts under the leaves (center of next photo but not shown up close: proprietary technology!).

After quite a walk I came to a steep downhill portion with a small lake at the bottom where a lot of families, mostly, were playing various games, fishing, or just having a picnic. Runners, skaters, and bikers were on the road by the lake, all being very careful and courteous, or so it appeared.

I took a lower path back, and kept on clicking photos of trees until it was almost too dark. I'll show just a few more:

This last view shows the Meudon observatory, it is near where Claudio and Serena live:
:
The whole walk was rather idyllic, actually. It is a great thing to have a Bois close by!
