Field Trip

A tectonic story and a hydrologic story were the subjects of this field trip.

The tectonic story involved two stops:

(1) The Striped Hills just off US 95 near Lathrop Wells (Amargosa Valley),  and

(2) Point of Rocks on US 95.

The hydrologic story involved two more stops.  These were very  near Cold Creek, Nevada, a village on the eastern slope of the Spring Range:

(3) Willow Creek, and

(4) Willow Spring.
