Lands End, San Francisco

Part 4, Land's End Views

Let's move north and away from the area of the rocks with seals and sea birds, and try to get to Lands End:

Moving a bit further north showed the whitewater of the rocky beaches nicely, that is a popular hiking trail down below that one can take from the Sutro area into the Presidio, I understand:

Moving just a bit further north brought a view of a lighthouse at the entrance to San Francisco Bay:

Around the bend, now moving eastward as well as northward, gave a nice view across San Francisco Bay's inlet with that same lighthouse (and its foghorn sounding off at regular intervals):

Moving along the shore further eastward puts one under cypress trees that were very generous with their shade:

I thought this was Land's End, but apparently it is still just a bit too far west, but you get the idea --it is where the land terminates and the ocean begins:

Finally, the Golden Gate Bridge was quite a nice sight from the lookout point just south and west of Land's End:

And it was about this time I realized I would never make my flight home if I didn't hurry out of there and get moving toward the Oakland International Airport soon.  So I did just that and made the flight after the one I was originally scheduled on.  But of course I could not let go of this view (shown twice) from the trail on the way back to the car:

All's well that ends!  That goes for trips, and even the land.
