| As we will see from the top, the city park in which the hike begins lies at the very edge of the eastern residential area. In the distance lies Utah Lake, which flows into the Great Salt Lake to the north via the Jordan River. | ||||||||

On the way up, Squaw Peak looks a bit much, and other
destinations are contemplated by the faint of heart,
such as I. There are three branches to the trail, Squaw Peak is the first one that heads north, shortly after is one to the right, south, that goes up a well-wooded side canyon. Finally the trail meets a regional trail towards the back of the canyon. |
