Just before arriving back in Toulouse I pulled off the highway where a sign indicated access to the Canal-du-Midi, a canal that for a while served as a waterway between the Atlantic and Mediterranean.

On the side with the tall trees there was a paved running and biking trail. On my side was a primitive trail in a setting of oaks:


Of course, the combination of water and trees makes for good pictures:



It was going to be sunset soon, and the next storm was on its way in:

So, reluctantly I got back on the highway. The next stop was Toulouse and its train station for the overnight ride back to Paris.
