| Joan of Arc's Sign | |||||||||

What will we see on the pages that follow? The river where once stood
the towers and bridges she captured. The house where Joan stayed when
she came to
Orleans (reconstructed of course, and a museum). And
the house given to her mother, who was made an honorary citizen of,
and maintained by, this grateful city
while she worked at getting investigations
started at the local and papal level that would lead to the reversing of
Joan's excommunication, and 500 years
later to sainthood for her daughter. We will also see some displays inside the Joan of Arc Museum. Orleans is a light and bright city. Perhaps it still reflects the spirit brought to it by Joan. |
