Walking to Orleans

The monument is where the drawbridge and fortifications were in 1429, controlled by the English. Some of Orleans lies in the background.

Almost over the bridge, the islands is where the Tourelles were, the fortifications controlling the drawbridge and the main bridge into the city. This is where Joan gave the promised sign of lifting the siege of Orleans.
