To end this visit, a view from the upper reaches of Main Street, and the Mother and Child at the entrance to the abbey, an obviously old work of art.
After leaving the Mont St. Michel
area we drove quickly to St. Malo, and then returned to Rennes for the last train back to Paris.
It was a bit much for a day, especially since we could have stayed right at St. Michel or the surrounding areas for half what we were paying in Paris. But alas this was a one-day reprieve from business meetings, and we filled it to the brim! We hope you enjoyed these sights with us.
